Edinburgh Open Research Conference

Our annual conference brings together all open research stakeholders – from professional services and researchers, through to technicians and community members.

It is an opportunity to come together to consider the meaning of Open Research, and how we can work together towards a more open, ethical, and inclusive culture of research. A call for participation will be shared towards the end of 2024, with registration for attendance opening in Spring 2025.

We asked ask how principles of FAIRness, reproducibility, recognition, integrity, and participation can steer us towards a healthier, more vibrant research environment. We also asked how we can draw on the lessons from wider culture change to support our own Open Research oriented culture change activities.

In the second edition of the Open Research Conference, we asked how adopting the open research principles of open access, fairness, participation in research, and open data can ensure that our work can help to address these global challenges.
